Nuvani London,are partnered with an ultra-luxury resort in the Maldives and are seeking a talented Executive Chef to oversee the culinary operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, possess strong leadership skills and have a deep appreciation for the guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop menus and create new dishes that meet guest needs and preferences while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Train and provide guidance to kitchen staff to ensure that all food preparation and presentation meets the company's food standards, policies and procedures.
- Lead the kitchen team in driving quality, brand consistency and preparation of all menu items.
- Oversee and ensure cost control and labour efficiencies in kitchen operations by minimizing food waste and controlling portion sizes.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to create budgets for kitchen operations, including labour and inventory.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of kitchen supplies, including food, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to manage and train a team of kitchen staff.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Budgeting and financial management skills.
