Job Description

Nuvani London are partnered with an ultra-luxury resort in the Maldives. We are recruiting for a Director of Facilities Management to be based in the Maldives. This role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities for the resort.

As the Director of Facilities Management, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management, including planning, construction, maintenance, and operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure the facilities meet the organisation's standards of excellence in customer service and efficiency.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning and execution of facility construction and renovation projects.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure all facilities are operating at optimal levels.
  • Lead and manage a team of facility managers and technicians, providing guidance and support in their daily operations.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of facility operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and finance, to ensure facilities adheres to budgets and operational requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in facility management to drive continuous improvement in operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must have experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and shipping, rather than specifically background in the hotel industry..
  • Strong knowledge of regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and systems.
