Nuvani London is pleased to present an exciting opportunity to work as the Head Greenkeeper for a prestigious golf complex based at an ultra luxury resort in the Maldives. As the Head Greenkeeper, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and management of the golf course, ensuring it is kept to the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your expertise and contribute to the success and reputation of the golf club.

• Manage and lead a team, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure the proper maintenance of the golf course.
• Plan and implement effective turf management practices, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, weed control, and disease prevention.
• Develop and maintain an ongoing maintenance schedule for the golf course, ensuring all areas are maintained to the required standards.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of all golf course equipment and machinery.
• Monitor and manage the budget for the department, including procurement of supplies and materials.
• Work closely with other departments, such as the clubhouse and pro shop, to ensure a seamless experience for golfers.
• Stay current with industry best practices and trends in golf course maintenance.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Head Greenkeeper or in a similar role within a golf course or sports turf environment.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, including mowing schedules, irrigation systems, fertilization programs, and pest control.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with golf course equipment and machinery.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, members, and other stakeholders.
• Formal qualifications in turfgrass management or a related field are desirable.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the golf industry.
