Job Description

Beond is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer B1 to join our team. As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer B1, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft and ensuring their airworthiness. You will work closely with other maintenance personnel and be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and certifying aircraft systems and components. Your role will be critical in maintaining the safety and reliability of our aircraft.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all maintenance planned on Beond aircraft is performed during the assigned ground time and to the highest possible standards.
  • Perform and certify all scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities within the scope of their approval in accordance with the latest applicable publications and approved instructions.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify defects to keep the fleet in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards at all times.
  • Record all maintenance in relevant logs and update the MIS promptly and correctly.
  • Ensure all company property such as spare parts and tools are handled properly and returned back to the store in an acceptable condition.
  • Perform flying spanner duties when required.
  • Accompany the aircraft and act as company representative during base maintenance and hangar input for major maintenance activities, as and when required.
  • Prepare and distribute reports at the end of each shift, detailing the activities in the shift.
  • Ensure proper handover is provided to the incoming shift to update them about the shift activities and highlight items requiring additional attention during the upcoming shift.
  • Prepare for major or critical items in the upcoming shift in coordination with MCC, planning and material teams to ensure work can be carried out as planned.
  • Collaborate with MCC and Technical Services Engineers to provide inputs for troubleshooting and reliability monitoring.
  • Any other activities as required by the Manager Maintenance and necessitated by operations.

Requirements

  • EASA or MCAA (preferred) part 66 B1 with at least 5 years’ certification experience and type ratings on A320 family of aircraft with CFM56/IAE V2500/Pamp;W Pure Power/CFM Leap engines.
  • CFM56 amp; IAE V2500 ratings are mandatory, Pamp;W Pure Power/CFM Leap will be an added advantage.
  • Current full-scope company authorization on type is a must.
  • English language proficiency of at least IELTS band 5.5
  • Excellent understanding of technical documentation (AMM/SRM/TSM, etc.), applicable Part145/-M regulations.
  • Proficiency with major MIS is a must.
  • Ability to collect relevant information, apply clear/neutral judgement, set priorities, to take decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels/different cultures, clear formulation, ability to listen.
